The UK Free Tibet / Buddhism Meetup Group

A dual-purpose group for those interested in human rights in Tibet and also in Buddhist culture and philosophy of all kinds.

The London Buddhist Meetup Group meets to discuss Buddhist philosophy; Buddhists and non-Buddhists of all persuasions welcome!

The Free Tibet wing will involve meetings to discuss the topic, and to campaign on the issue of China's occupation and the resulting suffering of the Tibetan people.
The group will take on this dual purpose during the build-up to the Beijing Olympics.

If anybody outside London wishes to step up as an assistant organiser, this wing of the group can become nationwide!

New comers to Buddhism and to the Tibet issue are always very welcome!

"Hello, I'm sceptical, but not against, on the "Free Tibet" movement. So I thought I'd join this meetup to better understand the cause of "Free Tibet" to find out whether the atrocities many care to paint about China's policy on Tibet are reasonable."

"Hi, I'm the organiser of the Aro London Buddhist meetup group. Great to see you here! Free Tibet was one of my routes into Buddhism. I found out so much from the monthly magazine and was inspired to work in human rights. Keep up the good work. "
