Who is Buddha Maitreya?

Buddha Maitreya is the Buddha of the future, also known to many as the Laughing Buddha and sometimes confused by a Chinese monk named Ho-Tei. Buddha Maitreya is the one to follow up the historical Buddha Sakyamuni. Maitreya, 'the loving one', is part of the Mahayana tradition and widely worshipped in the Himalayan regions.

Come this Saturday for a small talk and presentation about the importance of Buddha Maitreya in the Mahayana Tradition by Dennis Estrada.

Join us this Saturday for meditation, Chanting and Dharma talk by our venerable nuns and then we will have our now fameous vegetarian lunch.

Please bring a vegetarian plate!

As we stated last week, our prayers for our members who are going through family tribulations and sickness.

May all sentient beings have happiness and its causes,
May all sentient beings be free of suffering and its causes,
May all sentient beings never be separated from bliss without suffering,
May all sentient beings be in equanimity, free of bias, attachment and anger.
