This is a monthly Nichiren Buddhism meeting. Learn how to practice Nichiren Buddhism and apply its principles to your daily life. Develop the ability to live with confidence, to create value in any circumstance and to contribute to the well-being of friends, family and community. This informal gathering bring people together for Buddhist prayer, study, experiences and discussion of ways Buddhism can be applied to the challenges of daily living. Expect 12-20 additional Buddhists to attend this meeting other than those members signed up on this meetup.

Meetings start with a partial recitation of the Lotus Sutra and chanting Nam-myoho-renge-kyo (our daily practice). Experiences, study and informal dialogue will follow.
Nichiren Buddhism is based on the Lotus Sutra. The Lotus Sutra was preached by Shakyamuni Buddha during the last eight years of his life. In this Sutra, Shakyamuni teaches that all beings are endowed with the Buddha nature and are thus Buddhas themselves. Read more
